New technologies must fight their way out of old ones, this is a fact.
R&D should always advance in order to: -Manufacture better equipment -Improve performance -Lower power consumption -Reduce consumable costs
Concerning this last point, it is really impressive how much end user can save money, when switching to the new equipment.
Our idea is the following: Anybody’s well aware of the defects of “old” temperature chart recorders: temperature recording can be spoilt, since the recording nib can be moved by hand, you never know when the ink or the batteries (feeding the recorder’s clock) will need immediate replacement, since there’s no alarm message for these (normal) events. All these problems have been solved with Touch range. Besides, the end user must remember to replace the paper chart. With ECT-F TOUCH range, these problems are not present anymore. Recorded information can’t be modified in any way, double recordings method (1 year on the flash memory, 8-10 years on the SD card), no need to remember changing the paper chart, batteries displaying the charge level of the batteries, dedicated alarms for batteries failures. Consumables costs are brought to almost zero. In case of temperature chart recorder, the yearly cost of one pen nib and 52 paper charts are around EUR 80-100,00 for every machine. The average life span of one refrigerator is about 12-15 years- this makes EUR 1.000,00 Considering an average-sized hospital, around 50 refrigerators with temperature chart recorder, you have the crazy cost of EUR 50.000,00
We, as Fiocchetti, think that the above is self-explanatory, shows the right way to head to.
